Gena Hahn is the afternoon lead teacher in the Redwing classroom. She holds a bachelor of arts in early childhood education from Prescott College, and also has extensive teaching experience in both Waldorf and Montessori pedagogies.
She greatly enjoys seeing young children flourish as they grow a love of learning in the sunshine of childhood. In particular, Gena loves sharing nature with children. She enjoys planting seeds and singing songs in the garden.
She and her family moved to Eugene five years ago, after living in Arizona for many years, though Gena was born and raised in Seattle. When not at school, you’ll find her spending time with her family, playing volleyball, gardening, or watching her daughter play competitive ultimate Frisbee!
