Ages 24–36 Months
Our approach with children is observational based, with sensitive responses to each individual child. The teachers provide an environment that is physically safe, emotionally nurturing, and cognitively challenging.
The respect shown to each child will give them a feeling of trust in others and a strong sense of self. Teachers foster this experience in group care to encourage a life-long love of learning. We encourage parental involvement and welcome you to your child's classroom at all times.

Daily Communication
In the younger age groups, communication about eating, sleeping, and toileting is provided daily. Please be aware that teachers are responsible for the whole group, and it may be best to schedule a meeting time with the teacher if you wish for a more extensive conversation than teachers can manage during pick-up and drop-off times. Parents are welcome to visit their children attending Moss Street at any time.
In addition to conferences that are scheduled each year, parents or teachers can request an individual meeting if questions or concerns arise.
Food
Breakfast and an afternoon snack are prepared by the Moss Street staff. Parents provide a daily shelf-stable lunch. The children and staff eat all meals together at classroom tables. We believe that these shared meals help develop relationships, interest in food, good eating habits, and social and self-help skills.
